Responsibilities of the Role

The Warehouse & Shipping Associate's main responsibilities include shipping and receiving domestic and international shipments, scheduling and coordinating LTL shipments, and maintaining inventory control. Additional job functions include inside sales support, filing accurate documentation, assigning sold inventory to customers (assets), assigning tariff codes, inspecting equipment for quality control purposes, and communicating across multiple departments.

  • Ensure shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipping information, and ready for shipment.
  • Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and waybills for international and domestic shipments using UPS, FedEx, and other shipping software systems.
  • Schedule and coordinate LTL shipments with freight carriers.
  • Replenish and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Process incoming shipments in a prompt, accurate, and efficient manner.
  • Prepare finished products for shipment.
  • Perform quality control checks on incoming and outgoing shipments of machines and spare parts.
  • Operate forklifts in a safe manner after receiving proper certification.

Additional Job Functions:

  • Assign tariff codes and submit customs documentation relating to weekly shipments.
  • Utilize Salesforce to assign assets to customer orders as they ship.
  • Process sales orders through the company's ERP system.
  • Communicate effectively with customer service, purchasing, employees, and freight forwarders.
  • Respond to shipping requests from various departments.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years warehouse / shipping and receiving experience
  • Forklift experience
  • Experience working with UPS, FedEx, and other shipping software systems
  • Experience obtaining rates from trucking companies
  • Ability to lift at least 40 lbs
  • ERP experience preferred

Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency with UPS Worldship and FedEx Ship Manager computer systems preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with inventory and shipping documentation.

  • Full-Time, Permanent
  • Mon- Fri 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
