The FK IT coating heads are characterized by a precise adhesive tear-off behavior and coating weight, also with high production speeds and fast switching times. The coating heads are mainly used in processes of the graphical and packaging material industry, as well as in other areas.
Thanks to compact design and adhesive, compressed air and supply voltage connection from above, the coating heads of the FK IT series can be easily integrated into an existing system. The application heads are used for surface coating on continuous material sheets as well as for surface coating on sheet feed in folding machines. In the case of sheet feed, the application head can be used in connection with the feed roller, as well as the specifically developed backing plate. Thanks to heat-resistant CoolTouch insulation, the FK IT helps with increasing operational safety.
The coating heads are double-acting with the jetting element closing negatively. This functionality ensures precise adhesive application and tear-off from start to finish. The application pattern can be flexibly adjusted using different mask shapes and thicknesses. The mask technology of the coating head simplifies the format change, increases reproducibility, and supports a cost-effective and flexible gluing process. Furthermore, the coating nozzle can be rotated by 180° for easy switching of the application in or against the operating direction.
