Robatech is building for the future
Robatech is constructing a new building to optimize its global logistics and reduce transportation routes as an investment in its Muri location. On Friday, June 13, 2014, Robatech celebrated a topping off ceremony for the new building.
We want to provide our customers with the best possible service worldwide. To do this, we need a strong logistics infrastructure that allows rapid and efficient responding. Streamlining transportation routes can also reduce delivery time, costs and emissions in general.
To meet this goal, a new building was constructed in Muri to serve the international logistics department. It is directly connected to the production buildings underground. The expansion adds about 5,500 square meters of storage and holding space and was raised in record time.
Sustainability was a high priority in the process. Up to six stories can be added on to the two-story building at some point in the future. A photovoltaic system covering more than 1,000 square meters was installed which will meet Robatech's annual energy needs, allowing the company to produce in an even more environmentally friendly way. Parking places with solar operated charging stations for employee electric cars are also being built.
On Friday, June 13, 2014, we celebrated a festive topping off ceremony for the new building along with everyone involved in the construction and many other invited guests at Pilatusring in Muri. After the ceremonial address from Marcel Meyer, CEO and owner of Robatech AG, Martin Spalinger, Business Development Manager and head of the construction project at Robatech and Viktor Broggi, the architect, were toasted for the successful project.
