PSA is applied with a coating head within a coating machine. The web is coated under tension. The lip of the coating head is in precise contact with the web and a precision gear pump doses the right amount of adhesives through a slot onto the doctor blade. From the doctor blade the adhesive is transferred onto the substrate and later covered with a release paper. Robatech offers a wide range of coating heads and brackets with equipment to process PSA.
