Communication

The latest generation of pattern controllers are providing various communication interfaces. This opportunity enables the machine builder to interface the appliance to the host machine in order to visualize the parameters.

 

Communication interfaces:

 

PROFIBUS-DP
The optional PROFIBUS-DP is an open bus system and enables the hotmelt appliances with ICS-electronics but also the pattern controllers to communicate with the state-of-the-art PLC-controls and to establish network capabilities.

 

RS-232
The pattern controllers are providing a serial RS-232 interface, whereby the communication is based on the standard SLIP network protocol. The access to the device parameters is realized by the SNMP-protocol.

 

Ethernet

The latest generation of pattern controllers is providing the state-of-the-art Ethernet interface. The communication is based on UDP/IP network protocol and standard Ethernet IEEE 802.3. The access to the device parameters is realized by the SNMP-protocol.

SNMP Protocol
The “Simple Network Monitoring Protocol” (SNMP)

offers an easy method to the machine buildner to write his own software for the main controller in order to visualize the parameters on the host machine. The latest generation of the pattern controllers is supporting the SNMP-protocol which is communicating via the USB / RS-232 or Ethernet interface.

RobaPAR

The program »RobaPAR« permits to read, edit and write all data of Robatech hotmelt applicators and applicator controls. The data can be read from the appliance over the RS232 or Ethernet interfaces and further processed on a PC or Laptop.
